The final game of the round pits Hawthorn against the Suns, and it’s doesn’t look to clever for the Gold Coast team. Not only have they never beaten the Hawks, they’ve lost their last nine matches.
In their last nine games they’ve been beaten by an average of 10 goals, pretty shocking! That said, their most recent performance was their best, only losing by 17 to the Tigers. Fresh from a rest week and the Hawks being notorious slow starters, they could spring an early shock on Hawthorn, but eventually class will prevail.
The Hawks are far too good, I’m backing them to win by 40+ at $2.1. Jordan Lewis has put in some vintage performances in the last month, including 42 disposals against Brisbane and 35 v Essendon. Other than my Martin bet, there isn’t an easier bet this round, Lewis to have 30+ disposals at $1.76.
