Geelong v Western Bulldogs

The Cats are gaining moment heading towards the finals, and they now face a team they’ve got a superior record against in recent years. Geelong have not lost to the Bulldogs since 2009 and accounted for them easily in Round 13.

Both teams are chasing Hawthorn, however I feel Western Bulldog’s race could be ran after Friday Night Footy. There’s really no chance Luke Beveridge’s men can produce an upset at Simonds Stadium. Anyone who watched the Cats performance last weekend against Adelaide will be betting on the Dogs tonight. The away team have been dealt a very cruel blow, both Wallis and Redpath have gone down with injury, and look to be out the game for some while.

After a week from hell, the last thing Bevvo wanted was to be lining up against Dangerfield and Selwood. Expect the pair to run riot once again in-front of a home ground, enhancing Danger’s chances of picking up the Brownlow. Last time these two met Patrick Dangerfield had 37 possessions, and he’s my pick again tonight to have 35+ at $2.4.

The Tommahawk and Menzel combined for eight goals in Round 13 against the Dogs, add on the form Tom Hawkins showed against Adelaide, makes $3.75 for him to kick four a very good bet. Sportsbet will let you double Dangerfield 30+ possessions / Hawkins 3+ goals at $2.75, get on that as well.

As you will have guessed, I’m backing Geelong to win easily tonight, get on them at $1.29.
