Richmond v Collingwood

How can I tip Richmond to win again….

The Tigers embarrassed me last week, and also embarrassed themselves. They were totally outplayed by GWS, scoring just 23 points, their lowest since pre-Fevola. Collingwood’s round was a massive contradiction, they put away West Cost at the MCG. A result I did predict (reputation restored).

Even though they got mauled last week, this game will be close. Collingwood are one of the most inconsistent teams in the ladder, it will be typical of them to overcome the Eagles and then go down to the Tigers. Ben Griffths is a welcome return for the Tigers, whereas Darcy Moore will be a huge blow for the Pies.

Even though Collingwood come into the fixture with the form, and off the backing of a massive result, I’m still going to go with Richmond. Richmond are a good team, even though they’ll have quite a lot of youth in their squad they’ve still got plenty of match winners. Last week will have a hurt a lot of good men in that team, expect them to put up a real fight. If you saw the Tigers at $3.15 against the Pies before the GWS game, you would have been all over it.

Put last week aside and back Richmond. In dead-rubbers like this you need to look at which individuals have still got something to play for. Dustin Martin still has a sneaky Brownlow chance, expect him to put in a performance and record the most disposals at $4. Jack’s a proud man, he won’t have enjoyed this week, well worth backing to kick 4+ against the Pies at $3.75.
