This should be a pretty good opener on Saturday, both teams will be full of it after two impressive wins last week. Sydney traveled to Perth and demolished Freo to the sound of 90 points, whereas Port accounted for Brisbane.

Sydney have had the wool over Port in recent clashes, and they seem to have the class in their camp to come away victorious this weekend. Port lack stars, yes Robbie Gray is a gun but they struggle to compete when compared to the numerous vintage players Swans bolster.

Swans simply have the best goalkicker and midfield in the league, on their day they could easily blow away any opponent. Port do play exciting footie but if they’re to stand any chance they’ll need to break down Kennedy, Hannebery and Parker, which is no easy feat.

Buddy’s got plenty to play for, the Coleman will be massive for him this season and the race looks like it will go right down to the wire. He’s sitting one behind Kennedy, but Sydney clearly have the easier run in.

Get on Sydney to beat Port at $1.32, well worth bolstering any multi this weekend. Another pretty safe bet to put in your multi this round, is Josh Kennedy to have 30+ disposals. He’s averaging over 30 per game, had 45 in his last game, plus he’s had 30+ in four of his last six.
Melbourne v Hawthorn
Melbourne crawled over the line against the Suns last weekend, but they’ll find it impossible to stop this Hawthorn bandwagon, which will make it 10 on the bounce.

The Hawks weren’t themselves last week against Carlton, but it’s been that story so many times already this season but yet they’re still sitting pretty at the top of the ladder. A lot of punters are claiming this will be a real scrap and the Demons can match Hawthorn. However, I disagree, Hawthorn are far too good and will be bolstered by the return of key players.

The Demons lack goalkickers, they really need to find a way to support Hogan. They also don’t have the defence to cope with Hawks forward line. Gunston, Breust and Rioli will be a serious threat again.

Get on Hawks at the line, they’ve got far too much for Melbourne. Jordan Lewis doesn’t grab the limelight he deserves when playing with Mitchell, however he’s quietly gone about his business this season recording over 30+ disposals five times. Expect him to do so again today at $2.2.
Gold Coast v GWS
The Giants absolutely flogged the Suns in this fixture earlier on in the season, and also gave the Tigers a seeing to last round. Everything points to a GWS win, and I’m not going to argue that, but I don’t think it will be another hiding.

I’m going to take Gold Coast at the line, any team which has Tom Lynch and Peter Wright in form, are capable of scoring a lot of points. GWS will dominate the Suns in many places, mainly due to the injuries for the Gold Coast.

The Giants will take another step closer to a home final with a win, which they’ll get. Jump on Gold Coast with a 40.5 head-start, and hope Tom Lynch has a day out for the home team.

As for a player bet on this game, get on both Cameron and Lynch to kick four plus. Tom Lynch is the Suns only hope and Cameron is a freak, he kicked seven in the most recent clash between these pair.
Western Bulldogs v North Melbourne
If it wasn’t for injuries this would be a cracking game, however the absentees in the Bulldogs camp has tipped the fixture in Norths favour.

Both teams still remain in the eight after recording twelve wins, the winner today can still keep hopes of a top four finish alive. Even though the Bulldogs are missing plenty they’ll still have enough to trouble North in the middle, both Hunter and Boyd are playing classy footy.

I do think this game will be closer than the odds suggest but get on North to come out on top at $1.67. Daniel Wells is playing good footy at the moment, he’s had 29+ disposals in four of the last six games. He’s well worth backing to have 30+ today at $2.88. It’s well worth backing Lindsay Thomas to kick three or more at $2.4, as he’s kicked 17 in his last six games.
Adelaide v Brisbane
O boy O boy, this could be a real flogging.

One of the best attacking units plays one of the worst defensive units! The Crows smashed Essendon by 82 points last week, and unfortunately for my old club I think the tally could be even higher this round. Brisbane conceded 173 against a pretty mediocre Port Adelaide team.

There’s not much more I can write for this one, expect Betts, Walker, Jenkins and even Lynch to have days out. For the first time this season I’m tipping a team to win by 100+, jump on it at $2.88.

Eddie Betts will kick four at $1.62, he’s on-fire at the moment and will get plenty of chances. If you’re chasing a bit more value, then Lynch at $5 to kick four is your man.
Carlton v St Kilda
The Blues have played some pretty good teams in recent weeks and pushed them all the way. Even though the results don’t look great there’s plenty to be positive about at Carlton. After that tough run of fixtures they enter another game as outsiders again. The Saints themselves have been in decent form but were no match for North last round.

Goal scoring has been a huge issue for the Blues, and is the only thing which could cost them tonight. However, I believe this game will be won in the middle and Carlton can compete and even win this battle with Patrick Cripps in their ranks.

St Kilda still have a sniff of making finals, but I expect these dreams to be shattered by the Blues. It will be a close game but expect Carlton to win at $2.45. I’ve already mentioned him, but I expect Cripps to have a good game this round. He’s my pick to have 30+ disposals at $1.91.
Geelong v Essendon
Another $1.01 shot! The second of the round, and again absolute zero chance of an upset.

I tipped the Crows to win by 100 points but this one will be different. Yes Geelong will win but not by that distance. This is the perfect fixture for the Cats as they need a huge percentage boost to take a step to securing a top four spot. It’s all doom and gloom at Essendon, and losing by 82 to the Crows won’t help at all.

Another one-sided game, this time get on Geelong -67.5 at $1.92. Dustin Martin enhanced his Brownlow chances on Friday Night, expect a huge reply from Danger today. Get on him to kick three and have 30+ disposals at $4.5.
Fremantle v West Coast
This round is really lacking quality, and the last fixture is no different. West Coast will cruise through the Western Derby.

The Eagles will be disappointed with their performance against the Pies last round but will enjoy returning home to play at the Domain Stadium, where they’ve won all ten this season. Fremantle have had a shocker this season, their only shining light has been Lachie Neale who has dominated disposals this season. However they’ll need much more than just Neale to beat the Eagles.

Josh Kennedy and Darling are a pretty formidable forward line, and I expect them to cause this flimsy Fremantle defence plenty of woes. The Eagles are too strong, they’re well worth backing to win every quarter at $1.62.

Andrew Gaff is my pick to have over 30+ disposals at $1.62, the West Coast star is averaging a shade under thirty this season and recorded 35 in his last fixture.
