What a day for Fev! My old clubs clash at the Gabba, last time the two met here the Lions beat Carlton by 64 points but this won’t be happening this time round.

Brisbane’s defence has been terrible this year, their attack hasn’t been much better but you’ll struggle to compete when you concede a massive 139 on average per game. They come off a massive 138 point loss the Crows last week. Carlton weren’t too much better last week, they went down to the tune of 71 points to the Saints.

The Blues problem has been kicking goals, meaning this game could be a real low scoring affair. However they’ll get enough chances to bring home the goods today. They’ll easily beat the Lions, make sure the $1.42 is in every multi this weekend, they won’t lose.

Patrick Cripps has had a season to remember, the young lad has had over 30 disposals in his last three outings. If you’re playing it safe, snap up the $1.4 for him to have 30 more. Feeling a bit more adventuress? Have a flutter at the $4 for Cripps to have 35+
HAWTHORN V NORTH MELBOURNE
Did anyone see Hawks slipping up against Melbourne last weekend? Surely they can’t mess it up twice in a row?

This is now a must win game for Hawthorn as they could end up as low as 5th if they lose again. They welcome back three premiership players which ensure they’re firm favourites for this one. North Melbourne’s injury crisis continues, which could be the factor for them missing out on finals.

After this game North play Sydney and GWS, they need to win one game to end Port’s, Saints and Melbourne’s final chances. However that win won’t come today? In fact, it might not come at all. They went down to the Bulldogs last week, continuing their shocking run of form.

The Hawks dominate every area of the pitch today, get on them to complete a pretty easy win at $1.39. In fact also have a go at them to win by 21+ at $1.95. Sam Mitchell will be key as always, he hit over 35 disposals twice in July, well worth backing to have 30+ at $1.75 today.
GREATER WESTERN SYDNEY V WEST COAST
The Eagles have never lost to GWS, yet the Giants are $1.3 to win! And win they will.

West Coast have been pretty woeful travelling interstate this season, if their home form wasn’t so impressive they’d be struggling to hold onto a finals place. The Giants have been very impressive at the Spotless Stadium, winning five of their six games! GWS can pretty much wrap up a top four slot with a win today.

Coniglio, Shiel and Scully are in good enough form to contend with West Coast’s impressive midfield and should supply enough ball to the likes of Cameron and Johnson.

Get on the Giants to win a high scoring affair. I’ve mentioned Cameron will see a lot of the ball today, that’s why I’m backing him to boot 4+ at $2.63.
ST KILDA V SYDNEY SWANS WINNER
The Saints need to win to keep their finals place alive. Fortunately for St Kilda this is being played at the Etihad, a location where they’ve got a cracking record this season, winning seven of their last eight at the venue. However, the Swans haven’t lost at the Etihad since 2012….

It’s not just St Kilda who’ve got everything to play for, Sydney need a win as the battle for a top four finish hots up. Sydney on paper are arguably the best team in the comp, they’ll show this today against an over achieving Saints team. They midfield trio will run riot, and expect Buddy to have a much better day in front of the posts and close the gap on Kennedy.

Get on the Swans to walk away with the points, winning by 21+ at $1.91. Kennedy is averaging a shade under 31 disposals a game this season, some season he’s having. He’s recorded 30+ in his last four outings including that massive 45 against Freo. He’s easy money to have 30+ at $1.45 today.
PORT ADELAIDE V MELBOURNE
Some cracking value for the Demons tonight. Yes Port have the home advantage but you can’t ignore last weekends results and form leading up to the game. Melbourne sunk Hawthorn last weekend whereas Port got spanked by Sydney.

The Demons will dominate Port in terms of disposals today, Jones, Viney and Gawn will see a lot of the ball and will be able to supply Hogan.

Port rely far too heavily on Wingard and Gray, last week showed if these two have off days they’re stuffed.

This game is huge for both as a potential finals birth rests on it. Hogan returning to the Melbourne line-up is huge, get on them to win at the generous $2.8. If Melbourne do get to the finals, it will be largely thanks to Nathan Jones. He’s been on fire, having 30+ disposals in four of his last six games. $2 for him to have 30+ tonight is great value!
