Geelong Cats v Sydney Swans

The Cats scraped through their qualifying final two weeks ago and Friday night’s showdown with the Swans at the home of footy will be a cracker. Sydney bounced back and held Adelaide at arm’s length for most of their semi-final at the weekend. With a spot in the Grando on the line this week, we’re expecting the Cats to get the job done. They’ll be fresh after their week off, and have less players under injury clouds ahead of the contest. Our cash is on a Geelong/Geelong half-time/full-time double, paying $2.20 with Centrebet and Tom Hawkins to slot the first snagger ($9 with Hills and Centrebet).

Greater Western Sydney v Western Bulldogs

The Bulldogs bandwagon is filling up fast, and as it rolls up to the Harbour City this Saturday, the Giants better brace themselves for a fight. The Doggies have been the form side this September, and will fancy their chances of causing another finals boilover in Sydney this Saturday evening.

While GWS will miss the suspended Steve Johnson’s experience, we think they’re the real deal. Some punters have been expecting the Giants to get stage fright this finals series, but their win over the Swans in week one put paid to that theory. Back GWS to win by at least four goals ($2.15 with Luxbet) and midfield gun Stephen Coniglio to have at least 30 touches ($2.25 with Sportsbet).
