North Melbourne has won nine of their last 12 at this ground, but will need to be at their best against the premiership fancies.

The young Giants reminded the footballing world why they are favourites to win the premiership this year with a 102-point victory over Gold Coast.

The scary thing for opposition clubs is that GWS completely lost focus in the third quarter and let the Suns back into the game, it is a sign of the extreme talent the club has when they can do that and still go on to record a victory by over 100 points.

North Melbourne were left shattered after blowing a five goal lead against Geelong to lose by a point, although we are only two rounds into the season, it is already hard to see the Kangaroos returning to the finals this season.

The teams met once last season and the Giants were never troubled and recorded a 37-point win.

Dylan Shiel is quickly establishing as an elite midfielder, when the Giants last played North Melbourne he racked up 29 disposals, which was the equal most of any GWS player with Tom Scully and he has made a bright start to 2017.

Shiel had 25 disposals in the loss to Adelaide and 28 last week against Gold Coast, he will provide the Giants with plenty of run and carry, look for him to have 30+ this week.

OVERS: Everything points to this game going over 200.5 (Bet365).

So far in two rounds these teams have played in games where the final score has equaled 229, 238, 258 and 223.

That is an average 237 and off the back of that there should be plenty of points scored.

The weather forecast on Saturday looks conducive for free flowing and high scoring football and we have a wonderful betting opportunity with the overs.

We also like the over 112.5 for GWS team total with Crownbet and William Hill.

When the Giants defeated North Melbourne last year it was the forwards who did the damage despite Jeremy Cameron kicking just one goal.

Former Geelong legend Steve Johnson kicked four goals with Jonathon Patton snagging five, the most of any player on the field.

Patton missed the win over Gold Coast with a minor injury and looks primed to return with a bang.
