FEVOLA Round 3 Betting Preview
The King, Brendan Fevola, is back with more expert tips for round 3.
NORTH MELBOURNE V WESTERN BULLDOGS
It looks as though the Kangaroos are set for another loss here.
It is already looking ominous for North who haven’t won a game yet in the opening three rounds and I don’t know how they are going to break their duck against a fired up Doggies outfit.
The Bulldogs did get beaten last week by Fremantle in one of the upsets of the season but I doubt they will drop two in a row at this early stage of their premiership defence.
Expect Jason JohanassIn to have a big game once against for the Western Bulldogs while Boyd will chime in with a few goals at the very least.
JOHANASSIN 30+ DISPOSALS
BOYD 3+ GOALS
MELBOURNE V FREMANTLE
Fremantle have every chance to go two in a row here.
They were good enough to pull off the upset against the Western Bulldogs last week and I think they can back up that effort here against an understrength Melbourne outfit.
The Demons are missing a stack of players through injury or suspension and I think that is really stretching their squad too thin.
I’m actually winning to stick my neck out and say Fremantle are the bet of the round!
I reckon Nathan Jones is set for another big performance so look for him to register 30+ disposals while Michael Walters is your man when it comes to the 3_ Goals market.
FREMANTLE +19.5 LINE
NATHAN JONES 30+ DISPOSALS
GWS V PORT ADELAIDE
GWS look the goods to continue on their winning ways when they host Port Adelaide.
There is a reason this mob are the flag favourites and after having an early slip up in Round 1 they have looked ultra impressive ever since. They should get the job done here against Port.
The value here is trying to figure out which one of their players will get the majority of chances for disposals and goals because they tend to share the workload around between them.
I’m fairly confident that Jeremy Cameron will get Most Goals while Dylan Shiel should get 30+ Disposals.
CAMERON MOST GOALS
DYLAN SHIEL 30+ DISPOSALS
CARLTON V GOLD COAST
One of these sides is staring down the barrel of consecutive wins.
Unfortunately for me though I don’t think it will be my Blues that are going to win. I am tipping the Gold Coast to get the cash here – and jees, it hurts me to say it too!
Gold Coast were sensational last week against Hawthorn and I think they will be good enough to come to Melbourne and give the Blues a beating at Etihad.
Carlton did really well to beat Essendon last week but they might be a bit flat coming off that performance.
Look for the champ Gary Ablett Jnr to have another cracking game. He is a lock to get 30+ Disposals in this and I think he will lead from the front to help the Suns get the points.
GARY ABLETT 30+ DISPOSALS
PETER WRIGHT FIRST GOAL
ADELAIDE V ESSENDON
This looks like another win coming up for the Adelaide Crows.
They come into this having won the Showdown with Port Adelaide last week and are one of a handful of teams yet to taste defeat heading into Round 4.
I know they are short in the Head-to-Head betting but maybe they are ones to fatten up your Multis heading into the weekend. Although I am pretty confident of them winning, I am not so sure about the margin so the Line (+33.5) might be a bridge too far for them.
The Bombers have had a good start to the season but they were off their game against Carlton last week and I think you can expect to see a few performances like that in 2017.
They are capable of going with Adelaide for a long time here but the Crows look too strong my books.
COLLINGWOOD V ST KILDA
The Saints aren’t a bad side so on that basis I am tipping them in what should be a tight one.
I know some big things were expected from them this season and they started slow, however, I think they are starting to warm to the task and might be good enough to get over the Pies in this.
Nick Riewoldt will be the main man once again for the Saints so look to back him in the Most Goals market – he bagged three last week and will be good for another bag of majors this week. I think I have found some value in the 25+ Disposals market for Riewoldt too where he is paying $3.20 @ Sportsbet.
NICK RIEWOLDT 4-5 GOALS

BRISBANE V RICHMOND
Let the good times roll for Tigers fans with another win coming up here to ensure they remain undefeated after the first month.
Richmond has looked pretty good in the first three rounds and I think they will be too strong for a Brisbane outfit that doesn’t seem to offer a great deal.
I’m backing my man Dustin Martin to have another big match. I won’t forget how close he came to winning the Brownlow last year as a $101 chance. Although those odds aren’t on offer this season ($4.50 @ Sportsbet), we can back him to get at least 30+ Disposals in this match and make some money that way. It is almost guaranteed in my books!
Of the others, Trent Cotchin is set to have a big game is one to look for in the 30+ Disposals market too.
TRENT COTCHIN 30+ DISPOSALS
HAWTHORN V GEELONG
I think Geelong has the measure of Hawthorn who are set to start the year 0-4.
To show you just how far the Hawks have fallen from the top of the tree, Geelong will smash them in this – how often have you said that about any team against the Hawks lately?
Going off the back of that, have some money on them straight out and at the Line which is currently set at 15.5. Multi players should take the Cats in their tickets this weekend as well.
Look for the ‘Tomahawk’ Tom Hawkins to have a big game as he always tends to shine on Easter Monday. Joel Selwood and Patrick Dangerfield will also cause the Hawks plenty of headaches here.
