Could it finally be the year of the Tiger?

TIGER TIME! The lid is off at Punt Road as Richmond looks to maintain their unbeaten start to 2017 against a Brisbane Lions outfit who are now a firm favourite in Wooden Spoon markets.

Richmond has won nine straight games against Brisbane and incredibly the Tigers have won seven straight against Brisbane at the GABBA.

When Richmond and the Lions last clashed the Tigers recorded a comfortable 42 victory.

Richmond was the subject of much debate in the offseason, but the ideal start to the season has now seen the Tigers put themselves right in the hunt for not only a top 8 finish but the vital top 4.

Brisbane started the season impressively with a win over crosstown rivals Gold Coast, but have fallen away quickly losing to Essendon and St Kilda and again wins in 2017 wins will be at a premium.

If the Lions are to cause an upset Tom Rockliff needs to find plenty of the footy. He had 28 possessions against St Kilda but the reality is that if the Lions are to cause the upset he needs to get 35+.

Richmond has shown great ball movement this season and are finding plenty of avenue to goal.

Last week in the win over the Eagles only three players kicked multiple goals and they have totally changed from the former side that was way too one dimensional and kicked to Riewoldt at any and every opportunity.

Dustin Martin has had a glorious start to the season and we suggest it is time to jump on him for the Brownlow Medal before it is too late.

We suggest three bets on Martin now, who would be on a minimum of six and possibly even eight Brownlow votes after three weeks. The three bets we are taking are win ($6.50 TAB), top 3 ($2.25 TAB) and top 5 ($1.75 Betfair).

Martin was dominant against the Lions when the teams clashed last collecting 35 disposals and he looks the difference between the sides.

Richmond should be way too strong here and continue to get their supporters up and about. Looking longer term this may be our final chance to get them at $2 to make the finals.

Jack Riewoldt booted a game high four goals when the sides clashed last and despite a slow start to the season we are with him to get 3+ here.
