The Tiger Army will be finals bound with another victory.

A huge game as Richmond look to remarkably start 2017 by winning their first five games which would almost certainly make them a lock for the finals ($1.50 William Hill and Luxbet).

Melbourne was the team expected to make the finals this season, but after a putrid performance against Fremantle at the MCG last week they need to rebound with a win if they are to make the postseason ($2.70 Bet365).

If you like the Demons to win this game then snap up the $2.25 (TAB), while if you are keen to back the boys in yellow and black make sure you wait until the final teams are announced as Richmond superstar Dustin Martin is under a serious injury cloud.

If Martin plays we expect Richmond to win, if he does not play then the Dees should get the four points. The smart bet if you like them is to snap up the $1.90 on them at the line where they are given a 6.5 point start.

Melbourne has an excellent recent record against Richmond winning their past three matches including a 33 point victory in this fixture last year in Round 5.

After an honourable loss against Geelong, where they lost their spiritual leader Max Gawn, the Dees were disappointing last week when losing to Fremantle, they can however cancel out that defeat with a win over Richmond.

Richmond has won their first four games this season, however they have beaten nothing.

The Tigers have defeated the three worst teams in the league in Carlton, Collingwood and Brisbane and the other win was against the West Coast Eagles in the wet at the MCG.

The Eagles are the softest team in the competition and can’t win in the wet and are hopeless at the MCG.

As exciting as Richmond has been to watch so far this season with their lightning quick ball movement and small forward line that have caused headaches for defence, we suspect they will be exposed when placed under genuine pressure.

After starting the season $67 for the flag with Crownbet, the best odds on Richmond winning their first premiership is now is $23 (Unibet), while Melbourne has gone the other way and are now top odds at $41 with Unibet and Crownbet.

Jack Viney collected 37 possessions and had nine tackles in this fixture last season scoring 134 dream team points.

Back him to get 30 touches or more.
