North Melbourne is a clear favourite despite being 0-5 this season.

Both these teams have been in the news for all the wrong reasons this season. North Melbourne hasn’t managed a win as yet while Gold Coast has scrounged together just two wins.

North Melbourne goes into this game as a clear favourite and for mine a false favourite.

We are quite keen on the Suns at the line where they are given a 14.5 point start and Head to Head where you can snap up $2.83 (Sportsbet).

The Suns have a good record against North Melbourne having won three of the past four matches between these sides but it’s worth considering that the Suns have never made the finals during this period while North has been a constant in September.

The Suns struggled outside Victoria last year losing all five games, but looked ultra impressive beating Carlton at Etihad Stadium a fortnight ago by 26 points.

That night superstar Gary Ablett was brilliant, he had a game 34 disposals and snagged a goal and he again looks a good bet in the Group A Most Disposal market.

North Melbourne is playing better than their 0-5 record would suggest, but they cannot find a way to win and at such short odds this week that is a concern.

In several of their losses this year they have led deep into the fourth quarter, but lacked leadership and composure in close contests.

A big concern for the Kangaroos is that they do not have a focal point up forward. For example, last week in the loss to Fremantle they did not have one player kick multiple goals.

Ben Cunnington had 29 touches against Fremantle and is worth a bet with bookmakers who list him in Group B, but we are again keen on Ablett in Group A.

In a game that could define the season for both teams, we are tipping the Suns to get the win and keep their season alive. If you anticipate they will play finals for the first time you can snap up $11 (Bet 365) for a Top 8 Finish while they are $251 for the premiership (Unibet).

When the sides met last Tom Lynch kicked an equal game high four goals. We don’t mind the $4 on him kicking five or more goals at TAB.
