Fevola's Round 7 Betting Preview
This is going to be a cracking game of footy and I can’t wait for it to unfold.
West Coast vs Western Bulldogs (Friday)
The champs will be on the ropes when they head west for tonight’s game.
West Coast are beasts at home and I think that will be too much for the Doggies who got done a few weeks ago in their last trip out west. Remember, they did beat the Eagles in the finals last year so I think the home side will want a big ‘get square’ here.
Back West Coast ($1.51 @ Sportsbet) and do it with a bit of confidence.
WEST COAST -16.5

Hawthorn v Brisbane (Saturday)
I am fishing around for a bit of value here.
Hawthorn are most likely going to win, however, do you really want to take $1.10 about a side that has won just two games all season?
Brisbane with the start (+42.5) looks very nice for mine because although they’ve been poor you just don’t know what they can produce on their day. Combine that with the fact Hawthorn aren’t good enough to put a side away and the Line is the best you want to take.
Looking for something a bit fatter? Take Luke Breust Most Goals – that’s a pretty good bet.

St Kilda vs Carlton (Saturday)
Carn the Blues – get up!
They are the outsiders here but for mine they represent great value at the $4.30 which Unibet have on offer at the moment.
The boys will have a bit of confidence too coming off back-to-back wins but this will be a stiff test against an equally in-form Saints outfit who are chugging along nicely.
It’s true I used to barrack for St Kilda, but hey, my loyalties are with the Blues and they’re playing good enough at the moment to get the points.

GWS vs Collingwood (Saturday)
The Giants are going to turn this one into a murder scene!
Collingwood don’t have any backmen so GWS are going to go straight through them. I fear it’s going to be a slaughtering for those Pies fans.
GWS to win are $1.21 with the boys at Sportsbet and while that is short, just load them up into your Multis – you won’t lose.
A fatter result is GWS 40+ at $2.15 (Unibet) and if that margin is correct then ‘Bucks’ (coach Nathan Buckley) could be looking for a new job come Monday!

Essendon vs Geelong (Saturday)
There is no question as to who wins this game.
Geelong will be winning this but it won’t be by as much as people think. The margin probably won’t be much so consider Essendon with the start (+22.5).
The players to follow in this game are Patrick Dangerfield, who is a certainty at 30+ Disposals, while Zach Merrett is ‘jam’ in the same market.

Adelaide vs Melbourne (Saturday)
Adelaide will be keen to get back to the winners list after being handled like a cheap suit by the Kangas last week. That is their only defeat so far but still I don’t want to be taking $1.15 the bookies have on offer.
Give the Dees a go at the Line which is an incredible 38.5.
Melbourne are also massive odds to win the game ($6.05 at Sportsbet) so I suggest having a few sneaky dollars on them in the H2H, however, the Line is where I am most confident.
Back Taylor Walker Most Goals and something else for the punters is Jack Viney 30+ Disposals.

Richmond vs Fremantle (Sunday)
I’m swinging towards the Tigers but am very wary of the Purple Army travelling to the ‘G.
For my money I am tipping Richmond to get back to their winning ways. Sure they’ve dropped two in a row but they weren’t bad last week and being at the MCG should play to their strengths.
The Purple Army do scare me though and Freo ($3.20 @ Palmerbet) are way overs in my books so if you do like them, by all means, have a few lazy dollars on them for sure.
For those playing the Margins the best way to go is Richmond 1-39.

Gold Coast vs Port Adelaide (Sunday)
Does Port go well with San Choy Bau?
I’m thinking it does with Port Adelaide set to win this historic match over in China against the enigmatic Gold Coast Suns.
The bookies aren’t giving us much to work with though with $1.39 the best price across the board but Betfair is hovering around the $1.42 mark.
Jump on the Power to deliver the goods as I don’t think the Suns are consistent enough to get the job done here.

North Melbourne vs Sydney Swans (Sunday)
The Swans are my picks to go back-to-back here.
Yeah yeah I know they only beat Brisbane last week but I think that was the easy kill they needed to get their season rolling. Now that they have the tasted of blood they will be cooking.
I reckon the bookies have got it wrong here by posting them as slight outsiders ($1.97 @ bet365) which is even better for us because that means we can strip them!
Back Sydney to get the job done – they will smack them – as Jarrad Waite is a huge loss for the Kangas.
