The Swans have won two in a row and look to continue their run.

After losing their first six games of the season the Sydney Swans kept their slim finals chances alive by beating Brisbane by 54 points and North Melbourne by 42 points and surprisingly head into a clash with St Kilda as a clear outsider in betting markets.

The Swans have a great record at Etihad Stadium - it may be the home ground of St Kilda - but it is the Swans that have made it their own.

The Swans had won 10 straight games at Etihad until they went down narrowly to the Western Bulldogs in Round 2 and again showed their affection for the venue with a big win over North Melbourne last week.

The most pleasing aspect for the Swans is that star forward Lance Franklin kicked just one goal and the side managed to register 120 points.

Sam Reid led the Swans scorers with three goals and will again give the Saints defence plenty of headaches.

It is the midfield though where the ‘Bloods’ look to have found their mojo.

Against the Kangaroos Josh Kennedy had a game high 37 disposals and kicked a goal with Parker (36), Newman (35) and Hannebery (33) all collecting big numbers.

St Kilda is going from strength to strength and their long suffering supporters are dreaming of a first premiership since 1966 which is the first and last time they won the flag.

After a less than ideal start to the season the Saints are marching into finals contention, winning three straight and five of their past six.

The Saints validated their upset win over GWS by grinding out a controversial win against Carlton last week, in both games Jack Steven was brilliant and might even be worth a small bet for the Brownlow Medal where he is still $51.

The reigning Grand Finalists are not done yet in 2017.

St Kilda has not defeated Sydney since Round 9 in 2012 and we are banking on that run continuing.

STATS BET

Last week Isaac Heeney had 25 disposals and kicked two goals in the win over North Melbourne, look for him to again have a big impact.
