BIG MARNS MULTI:

With Origin playing funny buggers with the teams this weekend, we will go the All-Up below at around $7. Sometimes it can be a minefield at this time of year but I think I have identified some nice value so let’s get involved!

LEG – 1:

PARRAMATTA EELS straight out

LEG - 2:

NZ WARRIORS straight out

LEG – 3:

CRONULLA SHARKS straight out

LEG – 4:

CANBERRA Raiders straight out

SOUTH SYDNEY RABBITOHS vs PARRAMATTA EELS - Friday night 7.50pm, ANZ

These two teams are not as badly affected by origin as some of the teams this weekend. Whilst both teams lost last week, they both put up good efforts against the Raiders and Storm respectively. It really is a take-your-pick game, and with Parramatta outsiders @ $2.20, I am going to side with them. This will not be a blow out by any stretch of the imagination, so some excellent value will be found in the EELS 1-12 ($3.50). The big man isn’t dotting down like he did in the past, but he remains as potent as ever. SEMI RADRADRA ($9) to Score First Try looks a solid investment at the odds.

Outright Match Winner:

PARRAMATTA

Margin Betting:

PARRAMATTA 1-12

NZ WARRIORS vs BRISBANE BRONCOS - Saturday Evening 5.30pm, Mt Smart Stadium

How many people - including myself – said after last week ‘ Never again the Warriors’? They were belted by St George and for many, it was the last time they could possibly back the Warriors. They have unbelievable cattle, but time and again they fail to produce on the paddock. It is a real mystery. A team with that line-up should perform better. Period.

Having said all of that, and you know what, I deserve everything I am going to get here – I am tipping the WARRIORS. Believe it or not, I am not adding in a disclaimer because I do think they will win. They are awfully short straight out (around $1.40) so the betting option looks like the WARRIORS 1-12($3) and let’s go with a Warrior to land the First Try  - BODENE THOMPSON who is pretty beefy at the $26 mark.

Outright Match Winner:

NZ WARRIORS

Margin Betting:

NZ WARRIORS 1-12

CRONULLA SHARKS vs CANTERBURY BULLDOGS - Saturday night 7.30pm, Shark Park

The Sharks just keep on finding that will to win and their match against the Cowboys was no different. A recent trend has seen many teams come from behind at HT to end up winning, the Sharks overcoming a 14-0 deficit. Fifita, Bird, Maloney and Graham being out are a big hit for the lads from the Shire, but the Dogs have also lost some cattle – Jackson, Klemmer and Morris. Actually you can add to that the CEO who also decided to pull the plug today, although she remains until the end of the year. The family club huh?

SHARKS to win for mine, Gallen is in the mix which will be a huge in for them and I do believe these guys are a genuine chance of going back-to-back. The Dogs are disappointing. Much like the Warriors, they have magnificent players but just fail to produce on the paddock. The Sharks don’t really put sides away and with the Bulldogs showing some fight, the SHARKS 1-12 ($3) looks the goods. I expect the Bulldogs to come out of the blocks hard, therefore I am going a doggy in the form of MOSES MBYE ($26) to Score First, whilst also taking the BULLDOGS / SHARKS FT-HT Double ($8) as well.

Outright Match Winner:

CRONULLA SHARKS

Margin Betting:

SHARKS 1-12

HT / FT Double:

BULLDOGS / SHARKS HT-FT Double

First Try Scorer:

MOSES MBYE

CANBERRA RAIDERS vs SYDNEY ROOSTERS - Saturday afternoon 3.00pm, GIO Stadium

The Roosters have been hammered by the demands of Origin and they must deal with some big losses when they take on the Raiders. Guerra, Ferguson, Cordner, Napa and Pearce are all out for the Chooks whilst the Raiders get of relatively scot free with only Papalii missing from this clash.

The impact of those who are out is too big for mine and with the Raiders back to winning ways last week, I expect them to be too strong for the Roosters in the nations’ capital. I am also going to go out on a limb here: CANBERRA RAIDERS 13+ Winning Margin ($2.70). I think they will put on a bit of a show and basically all chips in. Take CANBERRA / CANBERRA in the HT-FT double ($1.95) and to make it a Green Machine epic, NIC COTRIC ($11) to grab the first four-pointer.
