Record 2-1

Gold Coast+20.5

There’s a very simple play here. The Suns were sent overseas to represent our AFL code and country in China. They were shellacked by Port and came home with their tails between their legs.

Fast forward two weeks and the Suns have had too much time to replay the peasant performance they showed in their heads.

Melbourne was one of our plays last week and even though they faced the lowly Kanga’s, they still couldn’t get up from the rivalry game. It was evident they didn’t come to play or were paralysed by expectation.

Melbourne took a step back in my eyes and with a highly motivated Suns team coming to play, I wouldn’t mind having some points in my pocket.

We noted earlier in the week that Richmond has had three consecutive heartbreaking losses where they were right in the contest till the final siren.

This week, the face a fat and happy Essendon squad who surprised West Coast and ended up piling on a 60 point win in the process.

Richmond head-to-head is an absolute steal at this price. They have the right focus and are up against an overconfident opponent. Most importantly the Tigers have the talent to take this game by the scruff of the neck.

After a shocker last week where Adelaide destroyed Brisbane by 80, the Lions come up against a Collingwood team that has been trying to find consistency for some weeks now.

Nobody is under any illusion that the Lions are a good team. They’re rubbish. But they do have the capability to surprise Collingwood. The lack of consistency can hurt Collingwood here.

The Lions will be motivated to not extend their record of losses by 50+ points to 5 of 7 which would be truly abysmal.

$1.92 – Gold Coast+20.5

$1.73 – Richmond

$1.92 – Brisbane+49.5

Approximate odds: $6.37
