The West Coast Eagles need to bounce back from another horror defeat.

This should be one of the games of the season but it appears as though that won’t be the case because the Greater Western Sydney Giants have been absolutely crippled by injury.

The Giants have only 26 players available for selection as they choose their team of 22 to go west to take on the Eagles.

As a result the West Coast Eagles shape as a great way to end the weekend, both Head-to-Head and also at the Line where they are only giving up a 9.5 point start.

West Coast has never lost to GWS; they have won all five contests and are renowned specialists playing at their home ground of Domain Stadium.

West Coast needs to hit back with a win, it is well documented that they are terrible in Victoria and they hit a new low last week getting trounced by 61 points against an Essendon side not expected to even make the finals.

West Coast produced one of the wins of the season against GWS last year coming storming home to steal a one point victory.

It was the key Eagle forwards who stood up for them on that occasion with Josh Kennedy slotting three goals and Mark LeCras kicking two.

The Eagles midfielders also had a day out in that department with Matt Priddis kicking two goals to go with his 26 touches and Luke Shuey having a game high 38 disposals to accompany his two goals.

While we anticipate the Giants will lose this match, we think it’s the ideal time to back them for the premiership. The Giants are currently around the $5 mark but next week should be around a $6 quote and that is when we pounce.

The Eagles have a history of running over teams at home and not only are we confident that they will win, but they should win by a comfortable margin.

Josh Kennedy kicked three goals when these teams clashed last and looks a good bet for the first and most goals.
