Punters have been served up a possible Grand Final preview in Friday night footy.

Many experts anticipate Geelong and Adelaide will clash in the Grand Final this season and they do battle in a mouthwatering game here.

The Cats find themselves in the rare position of starting an outsider in a game at Simmons Stadium. It’s rare because they have started the punters pick in 75 of their past 77 games at the venue. This will also be the first time in 34 games that Geelong is a betting outsider.

The Adelaide Crows have been a goldmine for punters that fancy backing the total game score going over this season. The Crows have scored 100 points or more in all eight wins this season with scores of 147, 113, 100, 153, 153, 140, 140 and 143.

Therefore the Total Points going over 183.5 ($1.53 @ bet365) looks extremely generous.

Patrick Dangerfield has returned to his brilliant best in the past fortnight and as a result he is now outright favourite in Brownlow betting markets to win the highest individual award, just as he did last season. Best price in the marketplace at the moment is $4.20 @ bet365.

Dangerfield will be the key again against his former side Adelaide and looks a nice price to gain the most disposals.

It is well known that if teams can stop Dangerfield and inspirational skipper Joel Selwood then the Cats become extremely beatable, but there is a big difference between identifying that and actually doing it.

Selwood has been huge the past two weeks leading his side to gutsy wins over the Bulldogs and Power and will again be the focal point.

Mitch Duncan is the other Cats player we can look at from a betting perspective to get over 30 disposals ($1.80 @ Sportsbet). Duncan collected 31 against the Bulldogs a fortnight ago and 31 against Port Adelaide last week.

With the extra focus on Dangerfield and Selwood he will again get plenty of opportunities.

Both these teams are genuine contenders for the premiership, but we have a leaning towards Geelong to get the win in front of their fanatical home fans.

Geelong is still $10 in premiership markets with Sportsbet and Unibet and should they win here expect that price to tighten dramatically.

Patrick Dangerfield kicked a game winning three goals last week against Port Adelaide and will have a big impact.

MITCH DUNCAN 35 DISPOSALS OR MORE – he is in fine form so lets see if he can continue that in this gam
