GWS

There’s a new sheriff in town. Many wrote off the Giants and even more had posed serious question marks over their ability to return to the big dance.

The Giants currently sit atop the AFL ladder and have looked mighty fine over their recent 4 game win streak.

Geelong

The Cats victory over the Crows has set the season up for more intrigue. Had the Cats lost, it would’ve been a two-horse race against the Giants and Crows. Now that Richmond and Geelong are also in the mix, it just makes for a more exciting premiership.

Richmond

These two Tigers are earning their stripes. Dustin Martin and Josh Kelly are bossing the game at the moment.

Both are in the mix for contract scenarios down the line and are bumping up their price tag with every performance worthy of the 3 Brownlow points.

Joel Selwood

Did anybody see Selwood’s performance against the Crows? The guy had his head cracked by Andy Otten in the first quarter. Selwood was back within 20 minutes and then collided with a Kyle Hartigan elbow close to the original crack site.

Selwood is a robot and much respect has to be given to play on especially against a cracker team like the Crows.

Collingwood

A hard-fought victory over the Dockers on the weekend was soured with three key injuries.

Daniel Wells, Jamie Elliott and Tyson Goldsack will all miss the Pies match against Melbourne.

This will surely stifle the recent resurgence of the club who’ve been able to
