Two proud clubs clash in a highly anticipated game at the ‘G.

These two teams have been a nightmare for tipsters and punters this season and this game is crucial for the finals chances of both clubs.

After starting the season 5-7 the Pies will need a strong second half of the season if they are going to feature in the finals.

Collingwood has shown glimpses of brilliance this season but have lost a series of close games and as a result the pressure is building on the coach Nathan Buckley.

By contrast Port Adelaide has overachieved, after starting the season $41 to win the premiership they are sitting in fourth position and a win on the road here will go a long way towards pushing for that vital double chance.

Port Adelaide was workmanlike against Brisbane last week winning by 40 points after they put in their worst game of the season the week before when crushed by 70 points against the Bombers at Etihad Stadium.

These sides met once last season with Port Adelaide winning by a thumping 67 points.

The negative for the Power is the trip to Victoria - Port has not won a game in Victoria this season and needs to turn that around here if they are to be a force in 2017.

Collingwood has had horrible luck this season, each week they seem to have lost a new player to injury and it has resulted in them struggling to get any consistency together.

Last week against Brisbane Ollie Wines was outstanding, kicking two goals and having 29 touches, the most of any Power player, so look for him to again be lurking around the goals and prove the difference.

There is not much between these teams but Port Adelaide ($1.78 @ bet365) has shown this season that they are set for big things and they look a good bet against a Collingwood side that is undermanned, but have also underachieved.

Scott Pendlebury had 30 disposals when Collingwood last played against Port Adelaide and looks a good bet to do so again.
