Record 7-8

A big bludger of a round but we’ll dust ourselves off and look to sweep with our week 14 plays

Leg 1 – West Coast 1-39

Few of us predicted West Coast beating the Cats but that’s exactly what happened.

West Coast crushed the Cats with forward pressure and to be honest, for the Cats to finish within 3 scores of the Eagles was flattering.

This round the Eagles take on the upstart Demons who have proven to be a very effective young team.

Be wary of young teams off convincing wins, they struggle with prosperity. Their emphatic victory over the Bulldogs could have just that effect.

The Eagles have won 9 straight against the Demons, with the Demons only covering 1 of the last 6.

Take the Eagles by a handful of scores.

Leg 2 – Geelong 40+

The Eagles surprised Geelong last week as mentioned in the previous analysis.

The Cats rarely lose back-to-back games, especially when the back half is at home.

The Dockers have covered just 2 of their last 9 interstate, and 1 of their last 6 off a 30+ point loss.

The line is big for a reason. The Dockers don’t provide any confidence for me. They’re a poor interstate team off a loss and as an underdog.

Take the Cats to run up a score in this contest.

Leg 3 – Richmond 1-39

After last week’s heartbreak Richmond host the Blues. Richmond has proven to be poor in close games, letting their lead against the Swans slip.

Richmond should win by two or so goals given Carlton’s underdog victory over the Suns.

The Tigers have won the last five contests between the two and I don’t see this trend stopping there on Sunday.

With the line just about bang on what the final margin should be, take the Tigers to win by less than 40.

Recap

Leg 1 – West Coast 1-39

Leg 2 – Geelong 40+

Leg 3 – Richmond 1-39

Approximate odds: $6.16
