This is the most lopsided game of the weekend.

We have seen some massive upsets this AFL season, but it is almost impossible to see the bottom placed Brisbane Lions causing the upset and beating Essendon at Etihad Stadium.

The Lions are yet to win outside of Queensland in 2017 - they are 0-6 outside the ‘Sunshine State’ and went a dreadful 1-9 on the road last season.

The sides met in Round 2 this season with the Bombers prevailing by 27 points in wet conditions. The Bomber key forwards were unstoppable that night and again look to be the difference.

Joe Daniher and Orazio Fantasia combined for eight goals and should be even better suited by the conditions for this one.

It is hard to see the Lions not claiming the wooden spoon this season and all the bookies tend to agree as the best price available for them is $1.10.

This game is all about the Bombers as they push for a return to the finals.

Essendon enter the weekend sitting in 11th spot on the ladder after a heartbreaking loss to the Sydney Swans last week. They need to register a big win here to get their percentage up in a season where little will separate the teams fighting it out for finals footy.

The Bombers need to get on a winning streak and that should start here. They have games coming up against traditional rivals Collingwood, fellow finals contenders St Kilda, struggling North Melbourne and then the reigning premiers the Western Bulldogs.

If you anticipate the Bombers will win most of those games and make the finals you can still snap up $2.25 with Sportsbet. In what should be a one-sided game we anticipate the Bombers will win this game by a big margin to inject some life into their season.

They look an anchor for multi bets and don’t be afraid to back them to win by some big margins.

Joe Daniher kicked three goals when these sides met last and looks a good bet to boot the most.

Almost there!
