Which team will stamp themselves as a genuine premiership contender?

The final game of the round is easily the most intriguing as two sides that have looked both brilliant and awful at various times in 2017 do battle.

The winner will take a big step towards locking in a finals spot and can push for the vital top four finish while the loser they will be in big danger of failing to make the postseason despite making such a positive start to the season.

When the sides met earlier this year the West Coast Eagles made a big statement saluting by 10 points. The Eagles midfield shared the load that game with no player collecting 28 or more touches.

This is such a line in the sand game for both teams and if you can predict the winner it will also be worth having a bet on that side to win the premiership.

The Eagles are still $17 with William Hill and Crownbet with Port Adelaide $13 across the board.

Port Adelaide has won eight games this season and currently sits fifth on the ladder, however, what is a damming statistic for the Power is that they are yet to beat a team placed above 12th on the ladder.

What does that mean? They are flat track bullies who look too good when they play the lower sides but cannot do the same against the quality sides when the pressure is on.

Despite the fact West Coast has let punters down at times this season, not dissimilar to Port Adelaide where they have an excellent record against the lower ranked clubs, we anticipate they will be too good at home.

West Coast have a great record at Domain Stadium having won five of the past seven this campaign and an impressive 27 of their past 32 at the ground.

The Eagles also have the wood over Port Adelaide having won their past three matches against the Power.  Stick with the Eagles ($1.68 @ bet365) to end your punting weekend on a high.

Last week Andrew Gaff had a game high 42 disposals and we are keen on him gaining at least 35 disposals.
