Can the Hawks keep their season alive with a win?

The Sydney Swans are on the verge of doing something very special this year by charging into the finals after starting the season an incredible 0-6. They have dropped just one match since and that was to Hawthorn!

When the teams clashed last the Hawks caused one of the biggest upsets of the season in what was an ultimate team performance. Up against his former side, Lance Franklin was dominant booting five goals and enters this game as a Coleman Medal favourite.

Franklin holds a three goal lead in the Coleman Medal race and looks a terrific bet at $1.90 with Sportsbet heading to the weekend.

The Hawks kept their season alive with a workmanlike 52-point win over Fremantle last week and while the Hawks have shown tremendous grit and determination to turn their season around, we expect this brave finals run will officially end Friday night.

Tom Mitchell has had more disposals than any player in the competition this season since moving from the Sydney Swans to Hawthorn and he again looks a good bet for the most touches in Group A on the back of a game high 37 disposals last week.

The best roughie in Group B could be Jack Gunston.

Gunston has been moved out of the forward line in the past month and last week had a career high 35 disposals after having 24 the week before against Geelong and 21 in Round 15 against Collingwood. At very big odds he is worth a small investment and a look at in the over/under disposal bet types.

This game is all about the Sydney Swans though. They look a good way to start a footy multi and if you are not on them yet for the flag snap up the $7 @ Luxbet as they continue an incredible charge towards the finals.

Lance Franklin kicked a game high five goals when these teams met last and should again kick the most.
