Can the Eagles cause a third upset in three games?

Heading into the Round 23 of the AFL the season, the year looked over for the West Coast Eagles as they needed Collingwood to beat Melbourne and then knock off the Adelaide Crows themselves in order to scrape in.

After both those things happened the Eagles earnt a spot and an away final with Port Adelaide where they recorded a famous victory after the siren in extra time.

The negative for the Eagles is that they were utterly exhausted on the back of that victory and it is hard to see them bouncing back just a week later and producing a similar performance against Greater Western Sydney.

The Giants were insipid in Week One of the finals when they were smashed by Adelaide by 36 points in a game that was effectively over at halftime.

GWS has a good recent record against West Coast winning both encounters this season including a 21-point win in Round 22 at Spotless Stadium.

Livewire forward Toby Greene was instrumental in the win over the Eagles kicking three goals and will be desperate for a big game.

It was obviously a blow to the Giants premiership chances that they lost last week and cost themselves the week off, however, the positive is that they are now clearly on the easier half of the draw

We anticipate the Giants will win this game and it is worth having a bet on them for the premiership at $8.50 with Ladbrokes.

If you are chasing a long priced play we don’t mind Sam Mitchell and Matt Priddis to combine for 55 or more disposals at $3.50 with TAB.

In the final against Port last week the duo combined for 59 disposals Priddis had 33 touches, the second most on the field with Sam Mitchell racking up 26.

Toby Green kicked three goals when these teams last met and looks big odds to kick the most.
