West Coast Eagles v Collingwood Magpies

Saturday, 2.30pm

MCG

The AFL grand final between Collingwood and West Coast should be a mouth-watering contest.

Heading into the season the West Coast Eagles were paying $67* to win the premiership with TAB while Collingwood ballooned out to $81* with Sportsbet to win the flag after they lost their opening two games.

Both teams have well and truly exceeded expectations in 2018 and one of them will achieve the ultimate glory.

These teams met in the first week of the finals where West Coast trailed by 10 points at three-quarter-time before prevailing by 16 points.

Elliot Yeo had a game-high 36 disposals and we rate him as a leading chance in North Smith Medal markets.

On the theme of the Norm Smith medal, silky Collingwood skipper Scott Pendlebury won the award in the 2010 replay and looks nice odds.

No club has contested more Grand Finals than Collingwood. The Magpies have played in 43 deciders and have won 15 premierships.

The Eagles will play in their seventh Grand Final and are aiming for their fourth premiership, their most recent coming in 2006 against Sydney by one point.

If you shop around there are plenty of outstanding specials on the Grand Final.

BetEasy is offering $2* on Collingwood winning for a maximum bet of $25*.

Prior to their loss to the Eagles in Week 1 of the finals, Collingwood had won three straight against the West Coast with two of those games being at the MCG.

It should be a classic Grand Final and think Collingwood will win.

Best Bet: Collingwood (Win)
