Sydney v Adelaide - SCG - 7:20 PM

After suffering shock round 1 losses, the Swans and Crows will be desperate to avoid an 0-2 start to the season when they meet on Friday night at the SCG.

The Crows were 32-point losers to the Hawks despite winning many of the key stats and suffered a further blow by losing young defender Tom Doedee to a season-ending ACL injury.

The Swans trailed all game against the Bulldogs in a performance that raised many questions. Lance Franklin played and struggled with his fitness and was held to just seven disposals and one goal. He and his team will need to improve sharply if they’re to break a poor run of form at their home ground where they lost four of their past five.

The Crows upset the Swans on the SCG in round 4 last season where they were despised outsiders and will be longing to continue the theme of the underdog winning this fixture.

Key Stat: The underdog has won five of the last six night matches between Sydney and Adelaide.
