Adelaide v Geelong - Adelaide Oval -7:20 PM

Sitting atop the ladder after the opening two rounds of the 2019 season, the Geelong Cats will face a test of their top-four credentials when they head to Adelaide to take on the Crows. The Cats put forth a scintillating performance to crush the Demons by 80 points at GMHBA Stadium on Saturday, during which former Crow, Patrick Dangerfield (37 disposals, two goals) proved especially influential.

It’s been nearly two years since Dangerfield experienced victory over his former side, with the Cats losing three straight to the Crows – all at the Adelaide Oval. As well as building upon that undefeated streak against the Cats, the Crows will be looking to build on their opening victory of 2019 – a 26-point triumph over the Swans at the SCG. That result proved a strong response after a disappointing opening-round home loss to Hawthorn. However, if the Crows are to stamp their authority as potential top-four contenders, nothing but victory will do on Thursday night.

Key Stat: The home team has won 10 of the last 11 matches between these two teams

Tip: Geelong

Best bet: Geelong 1-39 @ $2.40*

Value bet: Patrick Dangerfield 30 disposals/1+ goal @ $3.25*
