Western Bulldogs v Collingwood - Marvel Stadium - 7:50pm

The Pies dropped to 1-2 on the season after again falling to their kryptonite in the West Coast Eagles for the fourth consecutive time in their Grand Final rematch on Saturday night and will look to recapture some winning form when they face the Bulldogs at Marvel Stadium on Friday night.

Collingwood has won their past five matches at the venue, which included a 35-point win over the Bulldogs last season.

The Bulldogs trailed all day against the Suns and despite having a chance to level the scores very late in the contest, were unable to do with Billy Gowers’ set shot missing and eventually losing by 5-points for their first loss of the season. Prior to last season’s result, the Bulldogs had won five consecutive meetings against the Pies. The midfield battle will no doubt prove crucial to the result on Friday night with ball magnets all over the park. The Bulldogs have six of the competition’s top 50 most prolific ball-winners in 2019 while the Magpies have four players that feature on that list and certainly possess more firepower up forward than their opponents.

Key Stat: Collingwood has won its last five round 4 night matches
