West Coast v Collingwood - Optus Stadium - 8:10pm

West Coast will be seeking a 5th consecutive win over Collingwood when they host the Pies on Friday night at Optus Stadium.

West Coast has moved into the top two for the first time this season with three straight victories, while Collingwood is in the midst of a crisis having suffered consecutive upset defeats. This encounter will mark the first time the Magpies have been classed as underdogs in 2019. That classification is more than justified given the recent form of last year’s Grand Final opponents, with the Eagles obliterating the Dockers by 91-points in the 50th Western Derby.

West Coast was victorious by 22-points when these teams played their first grand final rematch at the MCG in Round 3 with premiership hero Dom Sheed haunting the Magpies once again during that encounter by recording three goals and 24 disposals. Josh Kennedy also added three majors, however, will need to prove his fitness for this encounter after being a late withdrawal last week due to illness, while Nathan Buckley may be forced to swing the axe after another disappointing loss.

Key Stat: Collingwood has covered the line in 11 of its last 13 interstate matches following a loss.
