Durant, Curry, Thompson, Cousins, Green – is this the Western All-Star starting five or GSW ($1.35 to win the Conference)? Is it possible for reigning champions to get better in the offseason? Well, adding all-star DeMarcus Cousins to the line-up changes the dynamic of the team, for the better.

We’re predicting that Oklahoma City ($21) can return as a threat this year. In his second season at OKC, Paul George will stamp his authority on the competition. At his best, he is top three in the league. If he can hit those lofty heights, he and Westbrook can challenge GSW and could be the ‘smokey’ in the West.

Houston ($6) are the biggest threat to GSW where their style of play has seen some recent success. They play an aggressive offensive game and have added another offensive threat in Carmelo Anthony. If Melo can produce anywhere near his best, he will be a huge addition to support Paul and Harden. Expecting them to have the best Regular Season record.

The Lebron-led Lakers ($9) can’t be ruled out but this Conference has too much depth for the Lakers to do any serious damage this season. We think the Lakers will be the biggest bust in the West and will be borderline to make playoffs.
