NBA Season Tip-off Best Bets

With the NBA season tipping off on Wednesday, here are our best bets from two big games.

76ers @ Celtics - 11:00AM

The Celtics look to begin the 2018-19 NBA season on a high when they host Philadelphia Wednesday.

Boston has completely owned the 76ers in recent years, winning 18 of the past 21 games against them, so at the start of a new season you have to go on what you know.

These teams met in the NBA playoffs last season with the Celtics knocking out Philadelphia in five games.

Adding to the confidence around them is the fact two of their main men in Kyrie Irving and Gordon Hayward are back in the team after enforced layoffs, meaning their side is stronger than it was last season.

While Aussie star Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid will ensure Philly have a good run this campaign which will more than likely result in another playoffs appearance, our money is with the Celts.

Thunder @ Warriors

The defending champs begin their quest for a three-peat when they host OKC Wednesday afternoon.

Golden State is awfully short to take out the game but that’s what we like – an anchor for our multis!

No doubt punters will be keen to back the Warriors here and take whatever price they get to add a bit of fat to their multis.

Steve Kerr goes into the regular season having dropped three straight pre-season matches, however, when was the last time this team lost four in a row? The Warriors have owned the Thunder in recent times too, winning seven of their past nine matchups.

With Westbrook sitting out, the Thunder will rely heavily on Paul George but we can't see him matching the crazy firepower the Warriors boast.

Take the shorts and go for the Warriors to win.
