Both teams are coming off a back-to-back as the Grizzlies host the Lakers on Sunday afternoon. It will be the first of three meetings for the season for the Western Conference foes who are coming off differing results yesterday.
The Lakers had their four-game win streak snapped by the Spurs in a fourth quarter capitulation as they were outscored 44-21 in the final 12 minutes to go down 133-120 despite LeBron James’ near triple-double (35p 8r 11a).
The Grizzlies overcame a half-time deficit to defeat the Pelicans on the road with JaMychal Green leading the scoring with 24 off the bench while new addition Joakim Noah added 13 points in his second game for his new team.
Brandon Ingram is doubtful to suit up after missing the game against the Spurs yesterday with the Lakers dearly missing his scoring and it might be enough to give the home side the edge in this one.
