Sunday NBA Best Bets - 16th December
The NBA travels south of the border to Mexico City for a crucial clash between the Magic and Jazz.
Utah Jazz @ Orlando Magic
The Orlando Magic host the Utah Jazz in Mexico City as they get ready for their second straight game in the Mexican capital. The Magic improved to 13-15 on the season and solidified their place as the final seed in the Eastern Conference playoff positions as they look to get back to the postseason for the first time in seven years.
The Magic beat the Bulls on the same court on Friday 97-91 behind Nikola Vucevic’s 26 points including the go-ahead basket with 28 seconds remaining. It was the 19th time this season Orlando had 10+ 3-pointers where they improved to 11-8 in such games.
Utah continues to be hot and cold this season with a 14-15 record. The Jazz has won three of their last five games by 27+ points while dropping two games in between the blowout wins. It will be the third time the franchise has played in Mexico City and first since 2003 as they look to gain a much-needed win to climb back up the Western Conference standings.
The Jazz has been inconsistent all year but their best is far better than the Magic and expect them to be too strong in this one.
