NBA Picks Thursday - 7th March
Our picks for Thursday's NBA action
The win streak is over. God bless the streak. RIP
Let's cut to the chase, we lost yesterday's pick but we won't hold it against Russ and the Thunder going forward. Let's take a peek at today's games because we have a great slate ahead of us. Let's dive in.
Current Record - 19-16-1 (win/lose/push) +1.29u
Sam's NBA picks will regularly be giving you picks for the day's hoop action. I recommend backing these individually but you're welcome to parlay them too. Each pick is staked at one unit.
76ers @ Bulls
They 76ers have been on a tear recently and have been on great form recently, winning 7 of their last 10 games. Tobias Harris' arrival has helped this team mesh and they're playing some great basketball, and that shoudl continue, even without Joel Embiid.
I've been close to picking the 76ers so much recently but yet I've kept fading them. Not today. Today we feast. Chicago has covered the spread in just 37.5% of their home games and I'm certain they'll lose their third game in a row tonight.
Timberwolves @ Pistons
The Timberwolves cost me last night and I'll be hoping that they don't upset us again. The Pistons are the NBA's form team, going 8-2 in the last 10. They sit sixth in the East on a .500 record but they're playing on form and welcome in a Minnesota team that is 2-7 in back-to-back games. Let's keep it simple and play the form hand.
Cavaliers @ Nets
The Cavaliers don't really want to win and they shouldn't either if they want to come out on top of the league's Zion tanking. The Nets are in the running for a playoff spot in the East and need to win these easy home court games if they want to keep the Hornets, Heat and Magic at bay.
Brooklyn has covered in 57.1% of the games in which they were favourites, fifth highest in the NBA. On the flip side of that Cleveland has the fourth worst record at covering when they're underdogs. The Cavs are 5-5 in their last 10 which is a concern but ultimately you'd expect the Nets to get this done.
