Another W yesterday for Sam as he adds again to the tally by picked the Warriors to cover in Houston. Even with Kevin Durant out of the fold, DeMarcus Cousins stepped up to help Golden State not only cover the spread, but also get the win outright. Now we look ahead to the late game on today’s slate, which sees the Mavericks @ Nuggets.

Current Record – 25-20-1 (win/lose/push) +2.75u

Let's get into today's NBA pick!. This pick is staked at one unit.

Mavericks @ Nuggets

It’s no surprise to see that the Mavs are in dreadful form following a pretty lacklustre regular season. The only highlights being that their new star player, Luka Dončić is vying for the Rookie of the Year award and that from every passing loss, they increase their chances of pulling an improved draft pick in the draft lottery come May.

The Nuggets, on the other hand, are sitting comfortably in 2nd place in the West, although they have been on cruise control as of late, going 2-4 from their last six. Despite this they have still been red hot on home court, winning ten of their last twelve, whereas Dallas has lost six-straight away from home.

Denver has averaged a +13.2pts differential over their past ten at home and the Mavs’ diff sits at -7.1 from their last ten away. Throw into the mix that Dallas is making the long road trip up following a home loss to the Spurs and the Nugs will be seeking to keep the pressure on the Warriors for that No.1 seed, this seems like a fair number, and one I expect the Nuggets to cover against this fading Mavs team.
