Our picks for today's NBA Playoff action

Let's get stuck into the action today.

Sam's NBA picks will regularly be giving you picks for the day's hoop action. I recommend backing these individually but you're welcome to parlay them too. Each pick is staked at one unit.

The Warriors series winning game against the Rockets told us a lot. Firstly, Steph Curry perhaps plays better when Kevin Durant isn't there. KD is now the Warriors best player and there's an argument to be made that Curry appears to be uncomfortable when Golden State aren't 'his' team. The second thing we learned is that any belief the Warriors were done without KD is wrong, Steph and Klay are still two of the deadliest shooters in the game and can dismantle anyone.

That said, this is the first game of the series and the line is probably a tiny bit too wide for me. I expect the Warriors to win but Portland can, and should, be able to hang with them to keep it close.

Almost there!
