This Weekends 5 Best Bets
We've gone through our tips and have found you the five best bets for the weekend from Horse Racing, NFL, NBA, Premier League and A-League.
NBA – New Orleans Pelicans @ LA Lakers
The Tip: New Orleans Pelicans
Why: The Lakers have warmed into the season and sit 4th in the standings at 18-13 but have lost their past two games on the road to the Wizards and Nets. They’re back at Staples Center where they boast an 11-4 record this season but have lost five of their past six outings to the Pelicans.
Horse Racing – Warwick Farm Race 6
The Tip: The Art of the Bar
Why: Racing in hot form of late and will be looking to make it four wins on the trot here today. Has gone to a new level since resuming from a spell and going on her solid 1.8 length victory on this track last start, will take a power of beating. Tim Clark is likely to press forward in search of the front. Top pick.
A-League – Melbourne City v Melbourne Victory
The Tip: Over 2.5 Goals
Why: The Melbourne Derby needs no special introduction, this fixture sells itself with sparks guaranteed to fly, goals to be scored and cards to be issued.
With only one A-League clash in the past 4 season between these two seeing under 2.5 total goals scored, we’re banking on total goals over 2.5.
Premier League – Cardiff City v Man United
The Tip: Man United
Why: Ole Gunnar Solskjaer takes charge of his first game as Manchester United (caretaker) manager on Saturday afternoon against his former side. We're backing United to win this, in what should actually be a pretty exciting match.
The New Manager Bounce simply cannot be ignored here, and although Cardiff are ever-improving, the opportunity for United’s players to finally enjoy a fresh start makes them all the more dangerous.
NFL – Kansas City Chiefs @ Seattle Seahawks
The Tip: Total Points Over 53.5
Why: Kansas City will always score points. If you are Seattle, you’re going to have to run the ball at every opportunity. That way you keep the Chiefs offense off the field and you give yourself a chance.
But can the Chiefs stand up to that run game? If they can’t, they are going to need their offense to bail them out. It’s a high total points line, but I see it being that type of game, so go for the overs.
