This Weekends 5 Best Bets
We've gone through our tips and have found you the five best bets for the weekend from Horse Racing, A-League, NFL and Premier League.
Horse Racing – Flemington Race 6
The Tip: Twitchy Frank
Why: Darren Weir’s TWITCHY FRANK has been racing in great form of late and will be looking to make it back-to-back victories. Got the split in the straight and came away for a half length victory defeating Sister Kitty Mac over the 1400m. Consistent mare that will be in this for a long way.
Horse Racing – Gold Coast Race 7 Magic Millions 3YO Guineas
The Tip: Outback Barbie
Why: The daughter of Spirit Of Boom rattled home two starts ago in the Gold Edition to finish second behind boom galloper Zoustyle. Last start she was luckless after being held up until the final stages but when clear, she flashed late. Drawn three and gets the ‘J Mac’ – enough said!
A-League – Wellington Phoenix v Central Coast Mariners
The Tip: Wellington
Why: Wellington have a quick back-up however face a Mariners side which has got off to the worst start of any side in the history of the A-league. They have just two points from their opening 11 matches.
Making the task even harder for Central Coast is the fact they haven’t won for 18 matches, dating back to last season, while they have lost nine straight games which is an unwanted club record for them.
NFL – Kansas City Chiefs v Indianapolis Colts
The Tip: Kansas City
Why: What tips this game is the weapons that the Chiefs have: I don’t know if the Colts have what it takes to deal with the multi-armed attack that the home side have. They’ll have to do some blitzing and they are not used to that.
Yes, Andy Reid has his chequered history in the playoffs and it is a young QB having his first postseason game, but this stage is not too big for Mahomes like it was for Lamar Jackson.
Premier League – Chelsea v Newcastle
The Tip: Hazard Anytime Goalscorer
Why: Eden Hazard is Chelsea’s only attacking player who looks capable of regularly scoring. He netted against Newcastle in Chelsea’s 2-1 win at St. James’ Park, and has scored three of Chelsea’s last four goals.
