NRL – Sydney Roosters v South Sydney Rabbitohs

Friday 7:55pm

The Tip: Roosters

Why: The game’s oldest rivals face off again – with Souths looking for revenge on their Preliminary Final elimination at the hands of the eventual premier Roosters. The Roosters have won 6 of the last 7 clashes between these two sides and we expect them to add another one here.

Horse Racing – Flemington Race 8 All-Star Mile

Saturday 5:10pm

The Tip: Alizee

Why: Has looked ultra-impressive winning her past two starts since resuming from a break in which she has beaten a number of brilliant performers including Trapeze Artist which took out a Group One last week. Aiming for five straight wins.

All-Star Mile Betting Preview

A-League – Newcastle Jets v Central Coast Mariners

Saturday 5:35pm

The Tip: Newcastle Jets

Why: Given Central Coast has won just one game all season and sacked coach Mike Mulvey after last Saturday’s disastrous 8-2 loss to Wellington, Ernie Merrick’s side will be salivating at the prospect of another three points here.

A-League Rd 22 Best Bets

NRL – North Queensland Cowboys v St. George Illawarra Dragons

Saturday 7:35pm

The Tip: Cowboys

Why: The Cowboys’ revamped roster already shows signs of coming together nicely. Jordan Kahu has taken over fullback, meaning Michael Morgan steps up to halfback. In the forwards, the signing of Josh McGuire means an embarrassment of forward riches for coach Paul Green.

After a tumultuous offseason, Tyson Frizell replaces Jack de Belin, Widdop moves to fullback and Corey Norman has signed to play in the halves. With the changes to the Dragons spine, we think it will take them a while to figure things out.

Formula 1 – Australian Grand Prix

Sunday 4:10pm

The Tip: Sebastian Vettel

Why: The ‘Prancing Horse’ has captured the past two Australian Grand Prix’s in Melbourne thanks to Sebastian Vettel and the German is definitely the driver to beat once again. Ferrari looked strong in preseason testing and have got off to a flyer in the past few seasons before tending to lose their way after the midseason break.
