This Weekend's 5 Best Bets
This weekend's best bets cover the NBA, UFC, EPL, NRL & the Kentucky Derby
NBA: Milwaukee Bucks @ Boston Celtics
The Tip: Milwaukee +1.5
Why: The series is tied 1-1 as we head to the Game Three in Boston. The line is very close between these two teams but the difference between the teams is so vast that not even home court advantage can bring them closer together in my view. If the Bucks can help Giannis rampage around this disjointed Celtics team then they'll win. Take the Bucks to cover here.
NRL: Sydney Roosters vs. Wests Tigers
The Tip: Daniel Tupou to score
Why: Daniel Tupou loves the Tigers – he’s scored 14 tries in just 9 matches against them. If you needed any more convincing, he has scored at least one try everytime he has faced the Tigers at home.
Horse Racing: 2019 Kentucky Derby
The Tip: Roadster
Why: Roadster has less experience than his rivals entering the contest, although he does have three victories under his belt. He is a horse trained by Bob Baffert, a five time Ketucky Derby winning trainer (including training last year's winner, Justify). He has proved his quality at the Santa Anita Derby as he defeated his stable-mate Game Winner by half-a-length.
EPL: Arsenal v Brighton
The Tip: Arsenal to win
Why: In their 11 away matches against top-six opposition since the start of last season, Brighton have lost every game, scoring just twice. The Seagulls ended a club-record goalless run of just under 12 hours against Newcastle last weekend, but there is absolutely no chance they find a net against Arsenal – regardless of the form the Gunners have been in.
UFC: Al Iaquinta vs. Donald Cerrone
The Tip: "Raging" Al Iaquita
Why: He’s just about as tough as they come and his gas tank holds up against the best, as seen in his last two bouts against Khabib Nurmagomedov and Kevin Lee. If he can defend his back as well as he has done, he should be able to avoid Cerrone’s submission threat. Coupled with some very good wrestling and solid striking, he’s not the more glamorous of guys to bet on, but he gets the job done.
