This could be a really tough fixture for the Aussies after a disappointing few weeks against the Indians and New Zealand. When these two last met in the test arena back at the start of the summer it was dominated by the bat. I don't expect this fixture to be any different, their have been 10 first innings centuries in the last seven test matches at the Basin Oval.
I'm backing the Aussies to win the first test, they have a more all round squad compared to New Zealand. Given the strength of our batting attack I'm shocked you can get on at $2.3 with William Hill! My advice is sign up to William Hill, take their $700 Bonus and place it on that $2.3
Top Australian Batsman
Adam Voges is a dark horse when it comes to the Top Australian Batsman market. His last two innings he's been unbeaten and scored 375 runs, although this was against the West Indies. However, against the Kiwis in the early summer he did score 119 in Perth. If Australia lose early wickets Adam will come into his own and steady the ship, he will find scoring easy against the lesser New Zealand bowlers. Well worth backing at $6.
Kane Williamson is a gun! That's all I really need to say. He won me a lot of money when the Kiwis were touring Australia, he hit two centuries, one in Brisbane and the other Perth. Since then he's hit two fifties against Sri lanka and another century. Not surprisingly he's $3.5 to top score for New Zealand, but he's well worth a bet.
Top Australian Bowler
The conditions predicted in the first few days of the test suits one Aussie bowler. It's a perfect fit for Josh Hazlewood. He didn't have a great time against the Kiwi's in Australia but he came good in the last test taking nine wickets in Adelaide. It's unsure who will be joining the attack with him, but get on him at $3.75.
Man of the Match
The bowlers will be key to winning this game, for that reason I'm getting on Josh Hazlewood to be Man of the Match.
Brendon McCullum Runs
This test series is massive for Brendon McCullum for obvious reason. In typical McCullum style I'm backing the Kiwi skipper the smash his way to 50+ in the first innings at $2.75
