If you’re not backing South Africa to beat Afghanistan today you’ve lost the plot. To put it kindly the lesser nation don’t stand a chance, even if the Proteas rest players they’ll still win comfortably.

Afghanistan put in a spirited performance against Sri Lanka but their fielding let them down at crucial times. They do look to have a few handy spinners, but unfortunately South Africa have a few players who are useful against spin. Afghanistan still haven’t beaten a major nation, this will not change today. Probably too short to back, but put them in a multi.

Imran Tahir’s quality will show against a poor batting line up, a few of the Afghanistan batsman don’t mind going for a big one every ball, which is a risky tactic against a bloke who can turn it both ways. Tahir will have a field day and will be South Africa’s top bowler at $4.25.

Oddschecker’s best bet
If South Africa bat first in this fixture, over 16.5+ runs in an over at $2 is the easiest way to double your money. Any of South Africa’s top 6 are capable of smashing a whole lot more than this in a set.
