Strikers vs. Thunder Betting Preview & Tips
The Strikers will be looking to open their Big Bash season with a win whilst the Sydney Thunder will be looking for consecutive wins.
Head to Head
The Strikers open their season tonight against a Thunder side high on confidence after a nail-biting win in the Sydney derby earlier this week. The men in lime green have won two of their last three against Adelaide, including the last match between the pair at this venue (21 January, 2016). However, the Strikers’ overall record at home is decent and they enter this with two victories from their last three games at the Adelaide Oval.
Key stat: The Strikers won the last match between this pair by 77 runs
Strikers skipper Travis Head is attracting plenty of attention at odds over $4, but it is perhaps Jake Lehmann that is the player worth backing for most runs. At $7 the talented left hander has enjoyed a solid start to the 2017/18 season, posting decent numbers in both the Sheffield Shield and domestic one-day cup. Although Lehmann generally bats quite deep, he has the ability to score runs fast, highlighted by his 22-ball 50 earlier this year.
Key stat: In all forms of the game, Jake Lehmann has only been dismissed in single figures twice across his last 12 innings.
