Head to Head

The Renegades will be out to complete a season double over their arch rival when the sides meet this Friday night at the Etihad. David Saker’s team has been in impressive form this season winning four of six matches. This is in stark contrast to the Stars who have been unable to win a match and are currently anchored to the bottom of the ladder with a net run rate of -1.118. Although the Stars’ overall record against their neighbour is a good one (8-4), it’s hard to look past the men in red who are in to $5.50 to take this year’s trophy.

Key stat: The Renegades have won two of their last three games against the Stars

High Bat

With Aaron Finch on representative duty, the betting has opened up significantly for the Renegades. Although Cameron White has been in solid form, Tom Cooper has caught our eye and shapes as the value pick of the week. The aggressive right hand bat has been required at the crease four times this season and on three of those occasions has posted scores of 34+. For the Stars, we’re once again tipping Glenn Maxwell. The allrounder lit up Adelaide with a 39-ball 60 last game and will be out to impress Aussie selectors given they have not yet named a replacement for the injured Chris Lynn.

Key stat: Glenn Maxwell has reached 50 in two of his last three games.
