The Hurricanes are one of the form sides of the competition with four straight victories to their name including a last-up win against this opposition at the Gabba. However, they still trail Brisbane on the BBL ladder and will be conscious that both their losses this season took place on Tasmanian soil. For their part, Brisbane have been a little hot and cold season, managing consecutive wins on only one occasion. That said, they are an attractive proposition in this, especially at a price nearing $2.
Key stat: The Heat have been relatively successful at Bellerive Oval winning four of seven matches played at the venue.
After posting a big double century in the Sheffield Shield earlier in the season, there was plenty being said about former Test player Alex Doolan leading into the Big Bash. Although the former Test player hasn’t delivered a huge score in the tournament thus far, a big total appears just around the corner with three of Dollan's six totals this season a score of +25 . In that respect, it may be worth having a nibble at the generous $4 odds currently available. Brendon McCullum appears the man to back for the Heat given his good form with the bat in recent weeks.
Key stat: Brendon McCullum’s last three scores in the BBL are 33, 32 and 61.
