Aaron Finch in their line-up, the Renegades start behind in betting to the in-form Strikers. The Adelaide side has won three of their last four and posted a total of 150+ in four of their last five matches. Furthermore, Jason Gillespie’s team have a good overall record at Etihad Stadium winning two of their three matches played at the venue. Still, the Renegades shouldn’t be written off completely and despite a loss to their crosstown rivals last week, they are expected to put in a more spirited showing as they attempt to shore up their position inside the competition’s top four.
Key stat: 300+ runs have been scored in five of the six matches between these teams.
After filling in for Tim Paine in the national set-up, Alex Carey makes a welcome return for the Strikers. The keeper-batsman has been in great touch this season and followed up his big Adelaide hundred last week with an impressive 27 off 24 in his ODI debut. At $3, Carey will be popular with punters. For the Renegades, betting remains pretty open but Marcus Harris may be the man to back. The left-hand bat posted 85 for Melbourne the last time these sides met and impressed in Melbourne’s match against Perth last week, scoring 48 from 28 balls.
Key stat: In six of his eight BBL games this season Carey has posted a score of 25+
