A game that was talked up as being the prime matchup of the recent European semi final rounds turned out to be a bit of a buster to say the least.

Atletico has played good ball over the last couple of seasons and troubled the traditional Spanish powers in Real and Barcelona. They were hyped to cause the Madrid giants some issues. Unfortunately, they were swept away 3-0 in the first leg of this fixture.

Ronaldo went H.A.M in the first leg. This means that he bent Atletico over his knee and spanked them like a misbehaving child.

The tone will be set with Atletico coming hard at Madrid. They have a 3-goal deficit they need to erase very fast. Atletico has talent. Griezmann, Gameiro and Torres should be able to find the back of the net.

The fact Atletico only managed 4 shots is something I don’t expect to see again. Real had a masterful game plan in place. Atletico will be able to plan around that heading into this next leg.

Atletico will scrap and fight till the end and throw everything including the kitchen sink at Real. Atletico will be leaving themselves exposed. Real will be able to capitalise on this.

The better team will end up getting through this tie. The overall class of Real will not allow Atletico to post any unsuspecting comebacks. The outcome of this tie is already written in the history books. Atletico will be trying hard against their home-town neighbours.

Fun Play: Atletico Ov1.5 goals

Total: Over 2.5

Correct Score: 2-2

Both teams to score: Yes
