Wide Play: 1,2,6 – 1,2,5,7 – 2,5,10 – 1,4,6

Race 1 1:00pm William Hill Handicap 1000m

MOTOWN LIL has been good in much stronger races than this in her short career; she has run some ripping times in those and will be hard to beat here.

COHESION does have the big weight to carry, but deserves it after a win in the lead up to the Blue Diamond. He was five lengths off Flying Artie and Star Turn at his most recent run and has to be respected.

STREETS OF LIBERTY was a good winner in Adelaide last start. That was Saturday level and this is a similar sort of race here so will be hard to beat again.

HOT SEAT was good winner after some solid trial form leading into his debut. There was some style about that win and he can go on with it here.

SELECTIONS: No 8 MOTOWN LIL, No 1 Cohesion, No 3 Streets Of Liberty, No 2 Hot Seat

Race 2 1:30pm William Hill Cox Plate On Sale Handicap 1000m

YASNAT has been dominant in her two runs for Matt Dale and this looks a good race for her to break through at city level.

PRONTEZZA was a no chance last start given the way the track played. Forget that completely and go off her previous run where she was a dominant winner.

DANCE WITH FONTEIN drops well in grade after a good performance last start. She has form around some nice horses and is a chance after the claim.

MADDIE MOO MOO was given a soft kill last start after taking on some nice races. It was good to see her put that field away there and she looks to be back on track.

SELECTIONS: No 7 YASNAT, No 13 Prontezza, No 1 Dance With Fontein, No 9 Maddie Moo Moo

Race 3 2:00pm Sweeney Estate Agents Handicap 1600m

KARPACZ was a dominant winner on debut and gets similar conditions here. Moroney’s horses have been flying as of late and it would be wise to keep following them.

ANZIO was a big maiden winner last start after running into a good one at his previous start. The step up to 1600 looks ideal here.

ANGEL’S TOUCH absolutely spanked them last start at Donald, although it was only Donald. That she is trained by Weir has to add even more to that win as they sometimes springboard off country level victories.

ART OF PERCEPTION wasn’t too far off Lady Selkirk last start who was a good winner at Flemington on finals day so that form is good enough for this.

SELECTIONS: No 3 KARPACZ, No 8 Anzio, No 10 Angel’s Touch, No 5 Art Of Perception

Race 4 2:30pm MVRC Membership On Sale Now Handicap 2500m

KING WAY gets one last chance to win a race here. He is scared of getting to the finishing line first, but with Williams in the form he is in, he could coax a win out of him here.

SIR LOPEZ has been good, winning his last three with some hurdle trials in-between. He is in the form of his career and it’s hard to knock him.

ALMAHSTIQUE was good behind Sir Lopez last start and although he meets him worse at the weights he has to be given a chance again.

BAYANOVA comes out of that same race and meets them all worse off at the weights, but with the Kent polish he has to be given a chance.

SELECTIONS: No 5 KING WAY, No 3 Sir Lopez, No 6 Almahstique, No 7 Bayanova

Race 5 3:00pm Handicap 1000m

JUST MAGICAL was only 2.5 lengths off Fell Swoop last preparation and that is legit Group 1 form now. Resuming in a BM78 here he has to be hard to beat.

VALIANT WARRIOR comes through some good races in Tasmania and must be going well to come over first up from a spell. He has won twice when fresh and has had two solid trials leading in.

PRETTY POSSUM has been running well in good races as of late. After the claim she is well in and hard to beat.

BELLA CAPRI wasn’t given much chance last start given the way the track played. She looks to get a good run on the map here and will be thereabouts.

SELECTIONS: No 2 JUST MAGICAL, No 1 Valiant Warrior, No 3 Pretty Possum, No 6 Bella Capri

Race 6 3:30pm McMahon's Dairy Handicap 1000m

GUN CASE has been dominant at his last two and should go on with it here.

BERLUTTI drops well in grade after his last few and the form has stacked up well. After the claim he is well in.

THE DYNAMO gets a weight swing on Gun Case for their last start meeting and has to be considered again.

I AM THE GENERAL has trialled well leading into this and most importantly gets the bar plates off and has to be considered on his best.

SELECTIONS: No 2 GUN CASE, No 1 Berlutti, No 6 The Dynamo, No 7 I Am The General

Race 7 4:00pm Telstra Phonewords Handicap 1200m

MAGICUS was given a questionable ride last start by Williams. Second up from a spell he should be fitter and the one to beat.

GREIPEL is just flying at the moment and continues to step up each run. The Dureya stable is on fire and although up in grade he cannot be discounted.

KIEVVAN gets back to his favourite track here and despite the weight he has the class to win this as the form has stacked well from his last start.

MISS SOFTHANDS has a host of gear changes for her resumption here. She got back to her best last preparation and has to be considered.

SELECTIONS: 7 MAGICUS, No 5 Greipel, No 1 Kievann, No 2 Miss Softhands

Race 8 4:30pm Ranvet Handicap 1600m

VOLCANIC ASH looks well placed here and should be ready to win. He loves soft going and was only just beaten in Saturday grade last start.

FIRST COURSE won a strong 50k race at Sale last start and down on 51kgs he will be hard to beat given his racing pattern.

SPREADEAGLED had a nice trial between runs a week ago. He has been running in better races than this and has a good record at the track.

LUCKYI’MBAREFOOT will hope that the rain stays around as he is an absolute duck. The wetter the better and if it stays that way he is a chance.

SELECTIONS: No 5 VOLCANIC ASH, No 10 First Course, No 2 Spreadeagled, No 1 Luckyi’mbarefoot

Race 9 5:00pm The Sporting Globe After The Last Handicap 2040m

DULVERTON was big winner last start after having not much luck in the QLD Oaks and she should go on with it here.

MARAUDAMISS should appreciate the step up to 2040 here. She was a good winner last start and Kent horses tend to hold form once they find it.

AZ GIVEN enjoys soft going and should appreciate the step out to the 2040 here after some good runs recently.

CINNAMON CARTER was a strong winner last start and although she has to step up here, she has placed in both runs on heavy going.

SELECTIONS: No 6 DULVERTON, No 1 Maraudamiss, No 4 Az Given, No 8 Cinnamon Carter
