Back to Doomben after last Saturday where the track played exactly as we predicted with the on pace horses being advantaged early and the back markers coming into their own later. The rail is out an extra two metres to 5.5 metres which means the track should play much the same on Wednesday. The track rating will again be Good, which means it should be fair to all horses.

R1 11.45am Fillies and Mares Maiden 1050m
AMARYLISS is having her first start but did trial nicely at Deagon while KUZNETSOVA has some solid Victorian provincial form and has had a jump out for Queensland debut.
WRONG BIAS was handy effort at only start and this is weaker. Has the rail.
TERETTO trialled okay in central Queensland. It is unusual for a horse from that area to have first start in Brisbane, so respect her.
SELECTIONS: NO4 AMARYLISS, NO1 KUZNETSOVA, NO9 WRONG BIAS.
VALUE RUNNER: NO7 TERETTO.
R2 12.17pm Colts, Entires and Geldings Maiden 1050m
Another ordinary affair made harder by a couple of chances drawing off the track.
RAHDANE has won two trials for comeback run here. Just fair only start but from barrier three will be hard to beat.
ZOU DER ZEE has been placed in much better races than this but will need luck from the barrier draw.
IGNITE THE LIGHT is from the top stable and has drawn a good barrier. He was good when second in a recent barrier trial.
SCHWARZY has had no official barrier trials but stable noted for first-up performers.
OH BOY is a bit better than form would suggest and has been caught deep a few times. Trouble is he could be caught deep again here but has some hope at huge odds.
SELECTIONS: NO10 RAHDANE, NO1 ZOU DER ZEE, NO5 IGNITE THE LIGHT, NO3 SCHWARZY.
VALUE RUNNER: NO12 OH BOY.
R3 12.52pm Three-Years-Old Maiden Handicap 1110m
CAPTAIN DODGE has been placed this track and has trialled okay for comeback to racing here.
STYLIAN won a Deagon trial with something in hand and just needs luck from the barrier.
DAWN FIGHTER was good at the Sunshine Coast when second.
SISTER PATTI wasn't bad in a far harder race last time.
CLEVER BLAZE and RAHDANE have both accepted for other races. Obviously chances if they run here.

R4 1.27pm Three-Years-Old Maiden Handicap 1110m
GYPSY MISS trialled well before good first up run when second at Ipswich.
I'M A RIPPA was okay in two race starts before a break and has a bit of a wrap on it. No official trial but has had a jump out.
SHUDA KNOWN BETTER had some handy form before a break and looked in need of the run first up.
MIAZUMI is very well bred and reportedly goes okay. No official trial and has an awkward barrier.
SELECTIONS: NO8 GYPSY MISS, NO1 I'M A RIPPA, NO1 SHUDA KNOWN BETTER, NO10 MIAZUMI.
VALUE RUNNER: NO10 MIAZUMI.
R5 2.07pm Class 5 Handicap 1640m
UMGENI won three in a row and then given no chance at all when good fourth last start. Scratched from Doomben Saturday for this and should be hard to beat with a 3kgs claim.
KINCAPLE CHIEF was a good northern rivers winner last start and has a 3kgs claim from a good barrier. He looks the main danger.
SWINDLERS MISS was scratched from Doomben Saturday for this. Won three in a row before unplaced far harder race last tie.
SANKARA SPIRIT keeps getting backed and then racing poorly. Gets his last chance here.
COLLATERAL was good winner at Ipswich and was one of many not to handle Eagle Farm bog last time.
SELECTIONS: NO1 UMGENI, NO5 KINCAPLE CHIEF, NO6 SWINDLERS MISS, NO8 SANKARA SPIRIT.
VALUE RUNNER: NO10 COLLATERAL.
R6 2.42pm Class 4 Handicap 1050m
MORNING FOG has won two of past three starts and no luck the other. One of the few main chances well drawn here.
WIGGLESWORTH just has trouble with the last 50m in these 1050m races. But with a handy draw and a 3kgs claim gets his chance here.
FEW ARE CHOSEN was handy first up and he does have ability. Looked like being a top galloper but had a bad near-fall here a year ago and has never been the same horse. Still gets his chance here.
MEET GEORGE JETSON has improved out of sight since joining Robert Heathcote but will want luck from this barrier.
Likewise, IRISH CONSTABULARY has been very good of late and down in class here but has a horror barrier.
SELECTIONS: NO7 MORNING FOG, NO3 WIGGLESWORTH, NO6 FEW ARE CHOSEN, NO2 MEET GEORGE JETSON.
VALUE RUNNER: NO1 IRISH CONSTABULARY.
R7 3.17pm Class 3 Handicap 1200m
STRATA LADY was good under a big weight last time. Down a kilo here and drawn to be in the finish.
OLSSON was a good first race start winner and then first run from a spell wasn't bad. Not the worst by a long way.
SHE'S WORTHY can mix her form but looks a suitable race for her.
CHIN CHUN is a former Hong Kong horse who got lapped first start this area. But has trialled okay and this is far easier.
MAGIC I AM has been going poorly in races but did trial well last year, beating some top class young horses. She could be the value here.
SELECTIONS: NO4 STRATA LADY, NO10 OLSSON, NO11 SHE'S WORTHY, NO1 CHIN CHUN.
VALUE RUNNER: NO7 MAGIC I AM.
R8 3.57pm Benchmark 65 Handicap 1640m
WATER BOY was back to his best with last start Gold Coast win. Can win again here from good barrier.
NERO D'AVOLA is a former Sydney horse who on best form would win this. Two recent runs are good and has a 3kgs claim here. The way he races means he will just need a touch of luck.
PEPPA JELLY is much better placed here and can race well this track.
BEST DANCE YET has been good of late without winning. Will be handy odds and looks the value chance.
COLLATERAL accepted in two races and is a chance if runs here.
SELECTIONS: NO4 WATER BOY, NO6 NERO D'AVOLA, NO10 PEPPA JELLY, NO11 BEST DANCE YET.
VALUE RUNNER: NO11 BEST DANCE YET.
R9 4.37pm Class 2 Handicap 1350m
KAPSTAR has been very honest without winning past two starts. Did win three starts back in handy company and with a 3kgs claim and good barrier looks the one to beat here.
BOUND FOR LOVE has been racing very well and strong win last start. Just starting to get up in the weights but strong claims again.
FLAMBE is very promising and showed a lot of heart to win last time. Probably better suited on a soft track but still rates highly here.
CHOOSE THE MOMENT is from an in-form stable and it was an impressive win last time. This is strong but has been consistent her whole career.
SCRAP COPPER was only fair first up but did trial well against a handy field previously and not the worst here by a long way at very big odds.
SELECTIONS: NO3 KAPSTAR, NO1 BOUND FOR LOVE, NO8 FLAMBE, NO4 CHOOSE THE MOMENT.
VALUE RUNNER: NO14 SCRAP COPPER.
