VALTIMOR gets the chance to repay his supporters after going down in a tight finish as a $2.60 favourite at Pakenham last start on August 5. Damian Lane is the new rider.

NIC NAC is far better suited back in this grade. He won his 1200m maiden in great style but was elevated to Caulfield where he ran ninth when outgunned over 1400m on July 30.

HARD TO KISS can prove hard to beat. Gave a strong effort to post a comfortable 1 ¼ length win over 1412m here last start on August 3. Goes down a half kilo to 58kg here.

FREE SPEECH has been in top form finishing in the money at her past four starts. Latest she was an effortless 1 ½ length winner over 1400m at Pakenham on July 19. Drops a half kilo to 58kg.

FABULONH went out on a winning note and returned on a high from a 140-day break with an effortless win over 1200m at Sandown on July 27. Damian Lane is the new rider and will be hard to beat.

NEW YORK is a track specialist with three wins and five placings at 12 starts here. He has won at his past two starts on provincial tracks. He again carries a big weight on 62kg, but cannot fault.

ANGRY GEE lumped a big weight to victory over 1000m as a $2.60 favourite first-up on August 5. He again lumps 59.5kg with apprentice Ethan Brown’s 2kg claim and will be hard to hold out.

BALLY PADDY steamed home to land an impressive win over 1013m here on August 3. Goes up 3.5kg on that effort to 57.5kg here but Beau Mertens keeps the ride.

SELECTIONS: No5 FABULONH, No1 New York, No2 Angry Gee, No7 Bally Paddy
VALUE TIP: No7 Bally Paddy

R8 4pm Sale Cup 23rd October BM64 Handicap 1100m

APRIANO is racing in good stead and from his draw should get a nice run mid-field. He rises 2kg to 60kg on his last start win over 1113m at Moe on July 24. This race looks to be in his class. Worth respecting here.

TIZSO WICKED has senior jockey Matthew Allen back on top. Allen rode her to successive wins at Geelong. Last start she was ridden by an apprentice when beaten a length in second place over 1030m here on August 3.

MOONLOVER was an audacious two-length winner at her debut over 1000m at Moe on April 25. Leading senior rider Ben Melham takes the reins at her return and she gets in well on 57kg.

BEEN SCENE makes her reappearance here after a successful campaign where she landed consecutive wins at Moe and Cranbourne. She goes up slightly in weight to 58.5kg but she has won with 58kg.

SELECTIONS: No2 APRIANO, No4 Tizso Wicked, No14 Moonlover, No5 Been Scene
VALUE TIP: No5 Been Scene

R9 4.30pm Ladies Day 11th September Class 1 Handicap 1200m

CHARLIE GARCON showed improvement last start and can figure prominently here. Damian Lane takes over from Craig Newitt on his last start closing fourth over 1030m here on August 3.

STRAGUN had the bar raised high when he ran a fair eighth to Speith down the straight 1100m at Flemington last start on June 25. Prior provincial form was rock solid.

CONSPICUOIUS MAID was well backed when running second to Blithe over 1200m at Caulfield last start on July 30. Back down in grade here but jumps 3.5kg to 59kg and has a wide alley again in (14).

CARUSELLE is a lightly raced mare who should have plenty of upside. She broke through for a maiden win over 1412m here at her last start on July 21. Her draw in (11) is a drawback but would respect.

SELECTIONS: No2 CHARLIE GARCON, No3 Stragun, No4 Conspicuous Maid, No8 Caruselle
VALUE TIP: No8 Caruselle
